These terms apply to the Somnia iPhone app and the Somnia web pages, provided by Autana Solutions ("we", "us"). Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to the app. If the two conflict, these terms apply to the extent the law allows.

Not medical advice

Somnia is a wellness tool for experimenting with everyday habits. It doesn't diagnose, treat or prevent any disease or sleep disorder, and its results are not medical advice. Sleep-stage estimates from consumer wearables are approximate. If you have symptoms of a sleep disorder, such as ongoing insomnia, loud snoring, gasping during sleep or severe daytime sleepiness, see a qualified healthcare professional. Don't change medication or treatment based on the app.

Your results

Somnia compares your own nights and labels how confident each result is. Results depend on the accuracy of your device and on how consistently you log check-ins. A result labelled "Likely" or "Strong signal" is a statistical finding about your past nights, not a guarantee.

Subscriptions and free trials

• Somnia Premium is offered as a monthly or yearly auto-renewing subscription, and may come with a free trial.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase, or when a free trial ends.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
• You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings. If you buy a subscription during a free trial, any unused part of the trial ends.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.

Founding lifetime purchase

The founding lifetime option is a one-time purchase, available for a limited time or a limited number of buyers. It unlocks Premium features for as long as we offer the app on the App Store. If we ever discontinue Somnia, we'll give at least 90 days' notice.

Beta reservations

Reserving the founding price on our website doesn't charge you anything. We'll offer you that price at launch. You're free not to buy.

Acceptable use

Don't reverse engineer, resell or misuse the app, or use it in a way that breaks the law or Apple's terms.

Disclaimers and liability

The app is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, and our total liability for any claim relating to Somnia is limited to the amount you paid for it in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that can't be waived.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
