Privacy policy
How Autana Solutions, based in Burnaby and New Westminster, BC, handles information from people who visit autana.ca, send us a message or book a call.
What we collect
Messages and bookings. When you use the contact form or book a call, we receive what you type in: your name, email, phone number if you give it, company, message and the time you picked. We use it to reply, run the call and follow up about the work you asked about.
How the site is used. Our own measurement script records which pages are opened, how long a page is actively on screen, how far it is scrolled, which buttons and links are clicked, the site or ad campaign that sent the visit, and the type of device and browser. It sets an ms_vid cookie with a random ID so we can tell a returning visitor from a new one. It never records what you type into a form. Only our team sees this data, and we delete it after 180 days.
Google Analytics. We also use Google Analytics, a service from Google, which sets cookies and sends Google the pages viewed, the device and browser type and an approximate location derived from the IP address. You can opt out with Google's browser add-on.
Server logs. Our web server keeps standard technical logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and troubleshooting.
The Somnia page at autana.ca/somnia has its own privacy policy.
Who we share it with
Only the services that run the site and our work: our hosting and email providers, Google (analytics), and Cloudflare, which delivers the site. We don't sell personal information or share it for other companies' marketing.
How long we keep it
Messages and booking details are kept while we're talking or working together, and for as long as needed for our records after that. Site measurement data is deleted after 180 days.
Your choices and rights
You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by writing to us by email. You can block cookies in your browser settings. We handle personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
