Privacy
The free tools need no account and no sign-up, and Klimb does no tracking. The only time we ask who you are is when you subscribe to Managed SEO. This page lists everything it does with data, in plain terms.
What we do not do
- No account, no password, no email required to run any of the free tools.
- No analytics or advertising scripts. No pixels, no session recording.
- No cookies are set by Klimb.
- Nothing you look up is sold, shared or used to build a profile.
What is stored in your browser
Two preferences are kept in your browser’s localStorage, so switching tools does not mean re-typing:
- The last domain you analysed, so Site Audit, Backlinks and Competitors open on the same site.
- The country and language you last used for competitor and keyword lookups.
Both stay on your device, are never sent anywhere except as part of the lookup you asked for, and clearing your browser storage removes them.
What reaches our server
When you run a tool, the domain or keyword is sent to our analyzer so it can do the work. The results are not saved against you — there is no account to save them to. Like any web server, ours keeps a standard access log (timestamp, IP address, requested URL) for operational and abuse-prevention purposes, and the domain you looked up appears there as part of the request URL.
Third parties we call on your behalf
- The site you ask us to audit. We fetch its pages and robots.txt directly, as a search crawler would. Those requests come from our server, and appear in that site’s own logs.
- DataForSEO — keyword volume and difficulty, backlink and referring-domain data, and SERP competitor lists. The keyword or domain you entered is sent to them to answer the query.
- Google Search Console — only for properties already verified on our connected account, and only to read their performance figures.
Managed SEO customers
When you subscribe, we store the name, email and website you enter, and the Square order and subscription ids for your payment, so we can onboard you and match your payments to your site. Payment itself is handled by Squareon its own page: your card details go to Square and never reach Klimb. Square processes Klimb’s payments under the merchant account of Autana, so that is the name Square shows on your receipt and card statement.
We also hold any correspondence and whatever site access you grant us, for as long as we are working together. Ask and we will delete it, except for payment records we must keep for tax purposes.
